eBookin'

At the beginning of the year I said I was going to try and post stuff here more often. Well, that didn't go so well, seeing as this is my third post of the year. In my defense, I have been busy.

no, not just that...

I gave three - count 'em, three - webinars in the month of March, I ran a half-marathon in April, and toyed with a new book idea that may or may not go anywhere. I also did the semi-weekly YouTube show, which overall I guess I'm happy with. Happy enough to do it again next fall, anyway.

The big news is that I was able to (finally) start getting the eBook version of the textbook ready for publication. I ended up having to go the "Print Replica" route because Amazon's conversion software doesn't know what to with Microsoft Word's equation editor (which are plentiful in both volumes), and I didn't have time to go back and convert every bloody equation to a JPG.

On the plus side, I was able to make it a "Kindle Interactive Edition" that includes the videos from my old YouTube channel, plus a few new ones. Unfortunately, the interactive bits are currently only accessible on newer models of the Kindle Fire. If you're reading on an iPad or Android tablet, the little video icons don't even appear, but hopefully that'll change in the near future.

Volume 1 is currently out for only $7.99, and if you buy the print copy you get the Kindle version for free.

Volume 2 should be out by the end of summer.

Hopefully by June 23rd
